Solidworks 3D CAD Modeling

3D Modeling

Computerized models and drawings are what the present-day manufacturing industry requires. The leading computer program capable of processing 3D models is SolidWorks, published by Dassault Systems. This solid modeling computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing application is the link between the idea stage (virtual reality) and the shelves in the market.

SolidWorks is used by many in the manufacturing industry because it is a very powerful tool. This modeling program is also very expensive if it is only used for a single project. In addition, this application requires a lot of time to learn how to use; similar to learning a new task or language.

Meave Consulting has experience using SolidWorks to create not only 3D models but also orthographic drawings required for industrial production. Ultimately, every manufacturer will ask for two sets of files; a 3D model and orthographic drawings packets. The 3D model is used for reference, and the drawings are the blueprints of what to manufacture. These blueprints are also used for patenting ideas and settling any possible legal dispute that could arise.

Below are free to inexpensive alternatives to using Solidworks.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
